19 of Medvedev's 21 victories have been earned on hardcourt
A resurgent the Russian player won his initial title for 882 days with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has endured a challenging season, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
The player's varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and eventually separating with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently improved in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested three-set victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's first championship after the Italian tournament and first on a hard surface after spring of 2023.
The win also signifies he has achieved twenty-one championships at twenty-one various tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters at once, so to secure a title is really nice," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my child her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, including in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching strategy and recurring reactions on the tennis court had prompted some to question if his skill to perform at the elite level was concluded.
But the player has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to come to the net and compete assertively, backed up by an improved service.
He recovered from a break down in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking 4 of the last five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded break points in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his first tour title, took control to force a decider.
He saved four early opportunities in a close deciding set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he earned the title with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
